AMORGOS, the easternmost island of the Greek Cyclades is a stunner,
with whitewashed houses, trestled alleyways and fiery rust sunsets ...

Pergalidi Cafe in Langada

pergalidi-cafe-bar-langada

Since 21 June 2012 Langada has a lovely new coffee-bar, called Pergalidi (Amorgian for small garden). The owner is Maria Nomikou, a young woman with roots in Langada. With the help of a friend and interior designer Michalis Ioannis Gikas she created a friendly, light and cosy, lovingly decorated coffee-bar.

Opened all year long Pergalidi offers you both: the warming teas (from Amorgian herbs) and coffees for cold days and cold refreshments on hot days and nights. The menu shows traditional drinks like greek coffee, sage tea, fresh orange juice, coke, beer and psymeni raki. But when it comes to cocktails Maria and her crew invites you for new taste experiences like e.g. a basil mojito or the cucumber martini – their melon dream is simply irresistible on hot summer nights.

To your drinks you get not just peanuts and chips but a nice mix and sometimes even zucchini with lemonjuice or other small snacks from the garden.

During the high season Maria offers also Breakfast with homemade jams local honey and bread.

On a cool and wet afternoon come here to spend your time with drinking a greek coffee, play a game and have a nice conversation with Maria. On a warm morning, sit outside in the small street in front of Pergalidi and enjoy breakfast while you are observing the morning live on the square and the street. And on a hot summer night, join us to sip on an apple martini whilest listening to the live band or during your short break from dancing.

Whenever you come: you will find a cheerfull, light atmosphere.
