AMORGOS, the easternmost island of the Greek Cyclades is a stunner,
with whitewashed houses, trestled alleyways and fiery rust sunsets ...

Hiking & Walking

Hiking on Amorgos is great!

The wonderful landscape of Amorgos with it’s close-to-the-sea mountains invites you to walk and hike and enjoy both the rich flora and phantastic views on nearly every corner. You don’t need to be a mountaineer to experience the islands secrets and to discover the rich world of Amorgian herbs.

We offer download facilities of hiking and walking trail descriptions with photos and GPS data. Just download the trail files, upload them on your GPS device (like iPhone) and navigate safely on the islands hiking trails via your GPS device. See an example of the trail from Langada to Tholaria on the picture next to you (based on the iPhone App MotionX and gpx data). We also offer some Amorgos specific hiking and walking safety tips as well as links to books and maps.
