Gold Medal for Amorgian Thyme Honey

First time ever a Greek Honey wins a gold medal at BIOLMIEL, an prestigious international food competition in Italy. Congratulations to Panagiotis Maroulis and his Amorgiano Thyme Honey.

The international jury at BIOLMIEL evaluated over 170 organic honeys from various countries examined in late January in Bologna.

BIOLMIEL is open to producers who practise organic farming methods according to national and international rules in force.

From Greece eighty different honeys were presented at the competition.

The nutritional value of honey has been known since ancient times. The sugars of honey are simply absorbed immediately and so Honey is a quick source of energy for the body, suitable for athletes, children, pregnant women, sick and tired of each organization.

It is rich in minerals known as minerals (calcium, magnesium, iron, chlorine, potassium, phosphorus) which are constituents of bones and cells.
